Word of Life curriculum, written by Augustine Institute in collaboration with Ignatius Press. It is the adopted curriculum for the Diocese of Rapid City and a shortened version and is used in the dioceses’ Catholic schools. The main themes of this program are Salvation History, Christian Anthropology, Heroic Virtue, and Discipleship.
"Word of Life catechizes both the head and the heart. When you teach the faith as information, students forget it. When you teach the faith as the answer to their deepest longings, students treasure it. Word of Life forms students in a Catholic worldview. They read Scripture. They learn
from beautiful, intellectually rigorous textbooks and bring resources home to share with their parents." (Augustine Institute)
Core components of the program include:
Engaging student interactions
Video and digital materials for use in the classroom and at home
Parent and family formation resources
